Between $1,000 and $2,000 there are selected mower tiers in our model data as of October 7, 2026, and at first glance they look interchangeable. They are not. In this range the price tells you much less than the rated area, the slope rating and the navigation system, and those three vary far more than the price does. This guide groups the tiers by what they are good at. Area and slope figures are the makers’ ratings, not our measurements, and prices move often, so check today’s price before you buy.

## What can you get between $1,000 and $2,000?

Start with the spread. The cheapest tier in this range is the WORX Landroid Vision Cloud quarter-acre at $1,019.99, rated for 10,890 square feet. Several tiers reach $1,999, including the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ, rated for 21,780 square feet. In between, current recorded areas run from 10,764 up to 65,340 square feet, slope ratings from 30 percent to 84 percent, and the navigation from RTK with vision to LiDAR with vision to RTK alone. A $1,099 mower can have an 80 percent slope rating while a $1,999 one has 45 percent, and a $1,699 one can be rated for more area than a $1,899 one.

That means the question to ask is not “which is best” but “which of the three things do I need most.” If it is area, one group stands out. If it is slope, another does. If your yard has trees, a third does.

## Which tiers offer the most area for the money?

A few tiers are rated well above what the price suggests. The HOOKII Neomow X2 SE is rated for 32,292 square feet at $1,299, with LiDAR navigation and a 45 percent slope rating. The ANTHBOT Genie 3000 is rated for 38,750 square feet at $1,599 with RTK plus vision. The HOOKII Neomow X2 is rated for 43,056 square feet at $1,699, and the WORX Landroid Vision Cloud 1 acre is rated for 43,560 square feet at $1,840 but only with a 30 percent slope rating. The AIRSEEKERS TRON is rated for 25,833 square feet at $1,299 with a 60 percent slope rating.

Compare those with the Navimow X315 at $1,799, currently recommended for 21,780 square feet by the US maker, with a 50 percent slope rating, and the Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ at $1,999, rated for 21,780 square feet with a 45 percent rating. Both sit near the top of the range for less rated area than the tiers above. Segway’s [current US X315 page](https://navimow.com/products/segway-navimow-x315) and [X3 coverage guide](https://segwaynavimow.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/53577911132953--Navimow-X3-What-is-the-lawn-area-coverage-for-different-product-models-in-the-X3-series) recommend up to 0.5 acre (21,780 square feet) for US users. That supersedes the 17,424-square-foot figure in our older dataset. It is recommended lawn area, not a verified per-charge result. European X315 recommendations differ, so use the version sold in your market.

Coverage alone does not explain the price. Compare warranty, local repair access and installation support rather than assume a higher price proves better build quality. Husqvarna describes dealer winter services in its [support guide](https://us-support.husqvarna.com/en/automower/KA-70051).

## What changed in the current dataset?

The WORX Landroid Vision Cloud 4WD is recorded at $1,999, with 65,340 sq ft coverage and an 84 percent slope rating. It exceeds the coverage and slope ceiling of the older selection below. The current dataset also includes LUBA mini 2 AWD, YUKA mini 2, Navimow i215 LiDAR, RockMow X120H, Sunseeker X5 and Greenworks AiMowbot C30Z in this price band. This guide is a selected comparison, not an exhaustive list. Confirm current maker specifications and prices before deciding.

## Which tiers handle slopes best?

Several selected tiers list 80 percent slopes; the current WORX 4WD entry lists 84 percent. The Dreame A3 AWD 1000 ($1,099, 10,890 square feet), the Dreame A3 AWD 2000 ($1,539, 21,780), the Dreame A3 AWD Pro 2500 ($1,699, 27,007) and Pro 3500 ($1,899, 37,897) all list 80 percent, as do the RockMow X115H ($1,499, 16,146) and the MOVA LiDAX Ultra 2000 AWD ($1,799, 21,528). All are rated with RTK or LiDAR plus vision.

For perspective, 80 percent is about 39 degrees, which is steeper than most residential lawns, and the 45 percent that is typical elsewhere in the range is about 24 degrees. The AIRSEEKERS TRON SE and TRON list 60 percent at $1,099 and $1,299. If your lawn has a steep bank, those are the ones to look at first. If your steepest section is gentle, you do not need to pay for an 80 percent rating, and a lower-rated mower with more area may serve you better. Our [best robot mower for hills](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/best-robot-mower-for-hills/) and [slope limits guide](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/robot-mower-slope-limits/) go deeper. Keep in mind that a maker’s slope rating is a design limit, and wet grass makes any slope harder.

## What about navigation?

Our data lists three types here. RTK with vision is the most common. LiDAR with vision appears on the Dreame A3 AWD 1000, the ECOVACS GOAT A2000 and A3000, the Dreame A3 AWD Pro series and the MOVA. LiDAR alone is on the Neomow X2 family. The eufy E18 uses vision only. The Husqvarna Automower 410 iQ is listed as RTK only.

[Ecovacs](https://www.ecovacs.com/us/blog/lidar-vs-rtk-robot-lawn-mowers), which sells mowers of both types, describes the trade-off in its own comparison. RTK uses satellite signals and a base station for centimeter-level accuracy and suits large, open lawns with straight-line coverage, but it can lose accuracy when signals weaken, and it can struggle under dense trees and buildings. LiDAR scans the surroundings with lasers and handles clutter, shade and irregular layouts, and needs no base station, but costs more and can be affected by fog and heavy rain. That is a maker with an interest in LiDAR, so treat it as one view. It does explain why many tiers here combine RTK or LiDAR with a camera.

A practical rule: if your lawn is open and sunny, any of the RTK models is a reasonable fit. If it is shaded or has lots of obstacles, favor LiDAR or the combined designs, and ask the maker how the mower behaves when satellite coverage drops.

## Which tiers suit small or oddly shaped lawns?

The eufy E18 at $1,399 is rated for 12,917 square feet with vision navigation and a 32 percent slope rating, so it is a smaller-lawn mower in a price range that otherwise buys area or slope. The Landroid quarter-acre and the Navimow i210 AWD ($1,049, 10,890 square feet, 45 percent) are similar in coverage. For a small lawn with a steep section, the Dreame A3 AWD 1000 at $1,099 and an 80 percent slope rating is unusual value, though its area rating is the same 10,890 square feet. See [best robot mower for small yards](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/best-robot-mower-for-small-yards/) for the small-yard options below this range.

## How do I choose within this range?

Work down a short list. First, measure your lawn and pick the tiers rated comfortably above it, using [best robot mower by lawn size](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/best-robot-mower-by-lawn-size/) to see the brackets. Second, check your steepest slope against the rating. Third, think about trees and open sky. Fourth, look at the price and what it buys: build, support and brand, or just numbers on a spec sheet. If you are tempted to stretch to a higher tier, check whether a sale is coming, since our [Black Friday page](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/robot-mower-black-friday-deals/) shows how much these prices moved last November. If you want to spend less, see [best robot mowers under $1,000](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/best-robot-mower-under-1000/), and for the premium end, [best robot lawn mowers of 2026](https://robotlawnmowerguide.com/posts/best-robot-lawn-mowers-2026/).

## What should I remember about prices and ratings?

The prices here are a snapshot, and sales can move them by hundreds of dollars. [9to5Toys reported Segway Navimow’s X3 series](https://9to5toys.com/2025/11/20/black-friday-segway-navimow-robot-mowers-from-664/), for example, in November 2025 at $1,999 for the X315 against a $2,299 regular price. Rated area and slope come from the makers, not from our own testing, and they assume typical conditions. Always leave margin.
